Brendan Moriarty

Mr Brendan Moriarty has over 20 years' experience in eye care. His reputation as a highly skilled surgeon has made him a world leader in the treatment of macular degeneration and intraocular telescopes.

He has particular expertise in glaucoma, cataracts, laser treatment of floaters, and is Special Advisor to NICE (the National Institute of Clinical Excellence) and Project Orbis, the internationally renowned flying eye hospital.

Brendan is a member of the UK, European and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He is has over 60 publications and presentations to learned societies. He was recently awarded a prize for the Best Original Work from the American Academy of Ophthalmology for his work on intraocular telescopes for macular degeneration.

The Clinic

The Prospect Eye Clinic is open to insured and self-funding patients. Referral is usually from a GP or optometrist, although we do accept emergency and self-referring patients.

You can be assured your care will be in a comfortable environment with experienced, friendly and efficient staff, and that your consultation will be a pleasant experience with the best possible outcome.

The clinic also has a Spanish translation service available should you require this.
